It’s been a quiet few months, eh?
Let me start with an apology. I’m sorry that I’ve been silent for these past few months. I left my day job last summer in the hope of becoming a full-time writer, and by February, I came to the conclusion that it just wasn’t going to happen. March and April were largely spent wallowing in shameful misery, then a quest for new employment. This quest is completed now and I’m in the process of relocating myself and the faeries to my original hometown of Montreal.
What happened to the Indiegogo campaign?
The bad news is that the money never came through. Indiegogo’s customer service never responded to my queries, so I waited in vain for some kind of explanation.
The good news is that I fulfilled the rewards for those that purchased them, and will be producing the next three comics out of my own pocket. The first one (#410) is already or, and I’ll be working with Wondollar on producing the next two at a rate of one a month.
What about the Patreon campaign?
I had a target of $500 per comic before resuming a weekly schedule. We’re at half of that at the moment, but I’m thinking of starting production on a monthly basis for now, and increase the frequency as the contributions go up. Perhaps having strips out on a regular basis will help build momentum. With #411 and #412 already covered by the Indiegogo campaign, this would mean the first Patreon-sponsored strip would come out on September 1 of this year.
So that’s the latest news. Hope you’re not all too upset with me.
But if you are, please remember to blame the faeries.

Thanks. That’s great news. And I’m glad that you’ve found a new job.
Could it be that there are some who were following you on Indiegogo who aren’t aware of your Patreon? If you can still post to Indiegogo it might be worth plugging your Patreon there.

Sadly, it looks like once your Indiegogo campaign closes, you can no longer post updates to it. It may be that I’m just clueless, but if it’s possible, they’ve hidden it well. I’ve had to pull the addresses and use Mailchimp to send updates, but it’s not a quick tool to use.

I am sorry to hear about your tribulations but I am glad that you are back on your feet.
Best of luck with your new workplace!

Honestly, when you vanished I was quite sad, because your strips are a lot of fun. The only hesitation I’ve had was because I was waiting to see if content would continue.
I’ll go sign up now.

That’s awesome, thank you for your support!

I’m a bit baffled by the thing with Indiegogo, did they literally just not give you the money that people donated? Does this mean that Indiegogo has like hundreds of dollars they just stole from you?
Jaycee
I’m not sure what happened with the money. I was never able to confirm if the bank information I gave them was correct. Maybe they still have it, maybe they deposited it in someone else’s account.

Am sorry to hear of your problem? :'( Though it is a warm sight to see you once again I do hope you find greater fortune as always in your endeavors. ^_^

Great news to hear you are more financially stable and will start up the patreon comics in September. Already backing and very hyped for future content.
I loved your series and the mischievous little buggers. so much I created a D&D 5e playable race of them. If you don’t mind I can link to it later. Keep up the great work!
Jaycee
Thank you for your support!
And yes, I’d love to see the D&D stats for the faeries, see if it matches what I roughly envisioned. ?

Woot! Glad I still kept in the habit of checking here every once in a while.
Is there any chance of the old comics being added back to the site?
Jaycee
The backlog isn’t coming back for a while. It will be made available gradually to Patreon backers (see campaign perks). It was also a reward to some Indiegogo backers, so our of respect for them (and their generous contribution), I don’t think it would be fair to make it available for free.
