Feeling Better…

On Wednesday night last week, I was in a bit of a panic. I went to the corner store to buy some soda, and still had to flirt with the (not-so-pretty) girl at the cash register. (She slipped me her phone number, too, but failed to write her name — so that makes her “Cash Register Girl” in my contact book.)

So with the urge to flirt still there, and me unable to repress it, I knew it was going to be a problem going to work on Thursday morning. At least, if I wanted to keep my job. So I went to bed on Wednesday night, hoping for some kind of miracle cure for my “condition.”

And as luck would have it, my wish was granted. I woke up on Thursday morning, with a very sore throat and feeling feverish. I couldn’t make it to work, so I called in sick. Friday, I was feeling a bit better, but then realized my voice was completely gone. I was able to go to the office, but because I couldn’t talk, nothing too corny came out of my mouth and I made it safely through the day, on to the weekend.

My voice came back only on Sunday. I was able to go eat out at the nearby McDonald’s, then headed out to catch a movie. The urge to flirt was still there, but at least it was no one I knew.

Until I ran into Brooke, who was coming out of the theater, hanging on to Roseanne’s arm.

But that’s a story for another time…

I Have a Problem

They say the first step in resolving a problem is admitting it exists in the first place. So let me confess: I have a problem. I think I’m addicted to flirting.

For the last several days, I’ve been flirting like my life depends on it, and now, it’s pretty apparent to me that I have a flirting addiction or something. I mean, I flirted with the matronly mail lady (erk!) and I even tried to hit on that young and sexy-sounding girl who called around lunch time to sell me a subscription to a local newspaper…

It’s been suggested by some of the readers here that this might be the work of Attitude. No surprises there, I guess. I sought her out to confront her, but all that came out of my mouth were some of the corniest pick-up lines that have ever crossed male lips. She was laughing so hard she couldn’t breathe. I eventually walked away, pretty confident that this whole flirting thing is yet another of her tricks.

I hope it wears off soon. Sure, I like the collection of phone numbers I’ve been getting, but I have to be in the office on Thursday and I dread what’s going to happen if it’s not gone by then.

That, and I’m terrified of running into Brooke until that curse is gone. I’m still reliving that kiss, and I don’t quite understand (or like!) the effect it’s had on me.

Brunch with the Girls

Okay, that flirting thing is getting out of control.

This morning, around 10:00, Mandy, Brooke, and “his” girlfriend Roseanne all got together for brunch. Mandy was there first, and I was really happy to see her. She looked really good, wearing a short and slinky black dress and a white jacket. I couldn’t help myself and immediately started hitting on her, complimenting her on how sexy that outfit was. (“Admit it, you’re wearing it just to seduce me, aren’t you?”) She blushed a little bit (how cute!) and started giving me a hard time about how much of a pig I am, but I hit her right back with a couple of well-placed comments on how she’d be disappointed if I DIDN’T at least notice her looks. (I think the bit about her new French manicure really scored me some points.) I said I’d normally ask for her number, but since I already had it, there was no point. And then she said I was right, there was no point, since I wasn’t using it much these days… Continue reading “Brunch with the Girls”

A Little Update

I’ve been pretty silent the few weeks because there just hasn’t been all that much to talk about. The new job is panning out nicely, and the folks I work with (when I’m in the office, twice a week) are very easygoing and laid back. We’re doing children’s books, after all. (And before you go off calling me names because of the Albert thread in the past few weeks, rest assured that my work there is irreproachably pure and chaste.) And my colleagues are fairly conservative (they’re also on average a good ten years older than I am). It’s nice to be working in a totally non-sexual atmosphere…

Here’s what’s going on with the various people in my life: Continue reading “A Little Update”

Pajama Party @ My Place

Last night, we had a great PJ party at my place. Girls only. (I’m not sure where Brooke formally fits in this category, but I prefer to think of him as a ‘she’…)

We were about a dozen girls at one point (not everybody came in at the same time, and some left earlier than others). I think a total of twentysomething girls showed up in all. Why did I throw this party? One of my stripper friends (let’s call her “Candy,” from the “Candy and Mandy Act”) is going through a bad breakup and needed some comforting. So I got on the phone, rallied the troops, and threw her a “we-all-hate-whatshisname” party, complete with whipped cream, Haagen-Dazs, hot chocolate, pillows, stuffed animals, and bunny slippers. Merry Christmas — Brooke Style

You may remember that Jaycee and I had some fun with Brooke in a Christmas costume last week. Well, since Christmas is all about sharing, I thought I should share with you what she looked like. This is her, trying to see if she can stretch the fabric a little and cover more of herself.

It was all in vain, I assure you! 😀

While He’s On Vacations

Hi,

I’m Mandy. Jaycee is gone on vacations. He asked me to blog here on his behalf. So here I am.

Many here probably know me from some of his earlier comments about me. I’m not going to try and defend what I did in the past here. I’ve begun posting excerpts from my diary of long ago, so if you’re interested in how we met and how we broke up, you’ll (eventually) find out all the sordid details in there. The Brooke Clause

Well, at least SOMEONE around me is in the Holidays spirit. Last night, Mandy dropped by my place, accompanied by Brooke, carrying candy canes and collecting charity money to give to the homeless. And, clever as always, Mandy had devised a great way to increase the donations: she dressed Brooke up in a sexy Miss Clause outfit. I think she deliberately chose one that was a bit too small for Brooke, who was (ahem) bursting out of it in all the right places. And of course, Brooke (in his confused state of double sexual identity) was hilarious to watch. Half the time, he looked naturally sexy; the other half, he was squirming with embarassment (or at least, I THINK it was embarassment) and trying to adjust his boobs so they’d stay in the costume. Seeing Right Through Her

Goddammit!

Morgan is parading around the office today, wearing a thick sweater and a long skirt. That’s fine for everybody else, but *I* can see she’s not wearing any panties or any bra. I can also tell she’s getting aroused whenever she catches me glancing at her. She’s been giving me these predatory looks that just mean I’m in trouble or something. Boob Envy?

Have you ever had a guest that needed a place to stay for a short while, but then just wouldn’t take the hint, and stay at your place for an indefinite amount of time?

Me, I have Brooke.

This isn’t the first time that Brooke stays at my place for a while. He’s been between jobs before, and I’ve always been happy to help out. But that’s when he was a dude. Now, he’s this incredibly hot chick, but who keeps behaving half the time like a messy bachelor guy. That means when he’s not remembering he has a female body when he wakes up in the morning, he just walks out of the guest room with only his pajama bottoms on, boobs all out, scratching his butt on his way to the bathroom, and gives me an eyeful without him even realizing what he’s doing. Meanwhile…

The last week, a flurry of women came in and out of my apartment like there was a shoe sale or something.

Lana has been visiting me regularly. Part of it, I think, is her suspicion that Brooke (who’s been at my place a lot, of late) might have set “her” sights on me. Since Lana doesn’t know much about Brooke, it’s easy to get the wrong idea. I’ve been ignoring the issue, in the sense that I don’t make a bit deal of Brooke when in front of Lana, but I’m pretty sure there’s going to be some kind of fight about this in the future.

Then, there’s Mandy. She’s been coming to my place a lot because she’s begun “cleaning up” her old journal, which she says she wants to publish in small installments in the forums. Also, she comes here to meet up with Brooke, to teach him a bit about “being a woman.” Since we’re all pretending that Brooke has ALWAYS been a woman, and has just been hypnotized to THINK he was a man, Mandy is saying she’s just there to “remind her how to be a woman.” Continue reading “Meanwhile…”

Brooke: The New You (Part III)

Mandy and I took advantage of Brooke’s bathroom break to have a quick strategic conversation about the next steps.

“You’re not going to tell him about faeries, are you?” she asked.

I shook my head. “No, I think that’d be a bit too much for him right now.”

“So what, then? A total sex change is a BIG thing. How are you going to explain that?”

Well, she had me there. I heard the toilet flush and the door open. Brooke was coming back. I’d just have to wing it.

“Sorry ’bout that,” Brooke said. “I’m… not sure what’s come over me. Look, bro, now that you’ve seen the spot I’m in, are you gonna help?” Continue reading “Brooke: The New You (Part III)”
