Switching Gears a Moment…

I’ve been meaning to take a little break from the faerie-driven drama in my life and let all of you out there know about something regarding the strip and this site in general.

While we’ve been focusing on Sir Thane in the last few weeks, and will continue to do so for a while, he’s not the only character whose stories need telling. Bloomin’ Faeries! was always going to be the stories of multiple characters, not just one set. There’s going to be Robyn the Thief. There’s also Richard Witnutz (who’ll make a cameo in BF! at some point). And (upcoming) there’s Princess Heather. Once my (epic!) battle with WordPress’s membership access restrictions is resolved (with me standing triumphant over the software’s smoldering carcass), I’ll put up the roughs for some of the strips there.

On the topic of membership, you may have noticed that there are going to be memberships available. For now, it’s setup properly (I think), but I’m still working out some of the kinks about access restrictions, so there’s no restricted content at this stage. I’m telling you so you don’t subscribe while there’s no exclusive content. I’ll tell you when it’s time. I should warn you, though — some of the content planned for the members section is going to be more explicit than what’s on the main page.

One last item of business: we’ve got a Cafe Press shop for BF! You can find the link in the right sidebar of this page. Most items are generic, but if you have ideas/suggestions on cool items you’d like to see (or even design ideas that you think would make for great products), we’d love to hear those over here. I’ll leave the comments section open for this.

All right, that’s it for now. Hope everyone’s well. Later this week, I’ll let you know how things are going with my new boss, Miss Reiss.

  1. Well, at least she didn’t make him a woman… yet.

  2. You mean, “him” as in Miss Reiss? She’s already QUITE the woman… 😉
