Hi,
Several weeks ago, I published an audiobook titled “Self-Satisfaction” as an experiment. I haven’t heard much feedback on it, and as I’m about to embark on the second one, I’m wondering if this was worth the effort or if it left everyone cold.
Not fishing for compliments, here, just wondering if this is something members find valuable or if I should put the money elsewhere.
Thanks for any/all comments.

Are you sure you posted about it? I only finding out about it right this second. >.<

Pretty sure, yeah. I posted this on Jan 26:

Well I liked it but not sure that it is necessary. With the adult content it limits the places where you could play it unless you have earphones. With the story being short it doesn’t take long to play so I don’t know if the cost per gain is worth it.

Thanks. I’ll wait to see if there’s more feedback, but the comments are much appreciated.

I think you should do more and even go a little retro and audio up all you ebooks to date.
Jaycee
That would be pretty expensive. There would have to be heavily favorable support to justify it.

looking thru some old files I found one titled BF001-Cocked & Loaded-Edited
it is an epub I can’t even open an epub and I still have it. Is their a pdf of this I could get?
Jaycee
There isn’t. I pulled the book because I wasn’t happy with it, hoping to return to it some day, and never got around to it. I’m pretty sure there are online ePub readers, though.

Personally, I’m not really a huge fan of audiobooks in general, but then I’ve never really been in a situation where I’d need one. That said, I’d have to agree with Gary above when he says that the adult content limits the locations you can use it quite a bit, and that it may not be worth the cost. Myself, I waited until the written version was posted and just stuck to that, which I greatly enjoyed!
That Spoken
I was excited to download and listen to the audio book. I think that there was some value there; being able to hear the voices and the intonation that comes with the spoken word can flesh out a story (pardon the pun) in ways that reading can’t always convey.
I do question if it’s worth the cost of production. Of course, I don’t know those costs so it’s really hard to say “Go for it!” or “Don’t waste your time/resources.”
It was fun and I enjoyed listening, so if you enjoyed making it, then I’d say it was win! 🙂

Well, it was an interesting experiment, but in doing it, I realized that in order to do a GOOD job, it requires a lot of time and resources. It’s not a cheap process at all (duuh…) and is pretty time consuming, so for the time being, I’m going to finish the series in ebook format alone. I like the Claire Clayworth character and I want to finish her storyline, but I don’t think it’s going to be the best value for the members to finish it in audiobook format.
But thanks for the feedback, I’m glad you enjoyed it.

For some reason, I missed it when it first came out. Definitely worth continuing with it. Many thanks.
