Okay, so mental adjustment time. What I thought were veins in her legs indicating her impending decay were the edges of the stones as she becomes semitransparent.
I probably should have brought this up some time ago, but when Autumn was trying to stop Spunky from doing anything to Crystal why did she say “I love her” instead of “She used to be a fairy and now she is dying”? Seems like the latter would have been more effective.
My impression is that this was supposed to be a big secret, even from other fairies, so she covered it with just a vague ‘I love her’ until Crystal started fading faster than a lost child poster in a corner store window on a hot Summer day. The part where they first met and Autumn didnt know her and got enthralled is still a little murky, but I’ve been caught off guard by plot twists here a couple of times, so I have no problem waiting to see what’s up. Maybe Spooky McForrestgump here knows the answer! They should go ask him, he seems fun. And is possibly hung like a giraffe. Also good.
Oh joy…another random new character to try to keep up with. When there are so many other character threads languishing. Still “chasing the rabbit down the hole” with this thread. Toss the occasional boob inflation and uncontrolled orgasm biscuit out there, but no real content we all grew to love. Thought we might see something like the old story when the hi-jinx started in the background with the invisible “member” chasing everyone around. Nope.
No point in trying to keep up with him/her/it. This comic is The Crystal Show now, and once this new character ceases to have relevance to her, it will be added to the ever-growing pile of loose threads.
Loose threads means more stories that can be fleshed out later.
Gives the writers things to explore

Yes, I agree with Vuris. Furthermore, I think that, if we try to look at it from the author’s point of view, putting a new idea to work immediately in the comic may be very important to keep him from getting bored with the whole thing, and we wouldn’t want that, would we? Later on there will be enough loose threads to spin a completely new yarn from, I’m sure.
When I first saw the last panel, I thought it was a face in the trees (the way the hood and the shading of the chest where the arms are touching looked like a nose and mouth respectively).
Crystal=Bella Talbot light.
Supernatural character. Google her. Sure, Crystal’s never tried to kill anyone, but that doesn’t make her any less annoying.

I think “bad writing” pretty much sums it up.

Or, maybe, Autumn does love Crystal

Ok yeah, I must have been tired or something last week, I couldn’t see that purple figure was entirely discrete from the trees.

Okay, not optimal… not in the least.

If *that* is what they’re like now, I shudder to think what spooky woods “used to be”.

Maybe what they use to be, was not Spooky

That can’t be good.
