So, anyone else come to the conclusion that Crystal isn’t actually losing her virginity here? If Faerie magic can’t influence a ‘Virgin’ it is pretty unlikely to take away someone’s virginity (And that’s a Faerie Roger there). It’d be like a werewolf who could destroy silver bullets by howling, an incredibly easy way to by bypass something that should otherwise be a threat to them.
I’m guessing the immunity against fairies and influence they have on them is temporarily removed when they have an orgasm like Crystal had with the naked elf.
I think it’s kind of like something that was mentioned in one of the Xanth novels by Piers Anthony. If you create the illusion of a light source in a dark place, does that make the light it shines any less real?
I thought that it has already been established that “virginity” for the context of faerie control is actually innocence. Crystal lost it during that orgasm moment.
The challenge is that faeries cannot affect these “virgin types.” People like Crystal are mostly immune to their magic effects (maybe they feel a slight tingle, little more). An orgasm breaks this immunity. (It can be regained, but that’s a long process.)

It seems to be more like superman and Kryptonite. Can be super effective or he can lift an island of it. Just changes depending on the story.

The problem there might be that if the light source is an illusion then what you see with it might not be real.
If a light source gives off light then it’s not an illusion… an illusionary light source is one you THINK gives off light.
It’s therefore quite likely that this imaginary light source will illuminate imaginary things.
Maybe you could use an illusion of a light to light up a pathway that is actually open air over a chasm.

And… now I know what’s going to happen to my next adventuring party.
