No, you have not yet been forgiven, just because she got to beat you up and more than half an hour has passed. She’s not one of your equally dumb male buddies.
I dunno, clueless he may be, I think that if he’s still trying to ask her out after sleeping with her and getting the crap beat out of him by her then he must like her. That or she is really good in the sack. Maybe both.
Well, he did *ask* instead of making annoying remarks. I don’t think this means he gets an instant forgiveness, but he may yet learn. (Hoping he uses his learning to find someone *else,* whom he doesn’t have a history of… annoying.)
I dunno, this isn’t like the real world, she was hit with a spell that made her very horny.
The only thing this guy is at fault for is that he didn’t question why she was wanting to have sex with him. He obviously wasn’t thinking when she had sex with him.
It wasn’t so much that anyone cast a spell, she was just standing too close to the knight who was cursed. All women near him get turned on. He doesn’t do it intentionally, and the fairy who is responsible didn’t do anything directly to her.
No, the fact that she was under a spell means she didn’t give consent.
Because that’s the thing, under normal circumstances she wouldn’t have sex with him. So when she snapped out of it, she was right to be angry, he still took advantage of her.
Okay, little bit late – just discovered the strip like, an hour ago – buuut…
Did I miss something, or was he as oblivious to what was happening as she was? From his perspective, she just got (incredibly) horny and jumped him. Not sure how that makes him the bad guy…

Yeah, that’s an old debate that still rages on today, believe it or not.
I think we all agreed to blame the faeries and leave it at that. 🙂
And welcome to the comic! Always great to have new readers. How did you find the strip? An ad somewhere?

“I’m doing it.”
Aleph Null
Yup. Bottom of the page over at Oglaf. 🙂

Good to know. Brought me at least one new reader. I’ll keep advertising there. 🙂
The fairy is directly responsible for this. The female is responsible for assaulting a fellow soldier while on duty at a minimum. That’s usually lock you up and beat you within an inch of your life for a first offense, going on history analogs. That’s if her superiors believe she lost complete control of her sexual urges do to an outside source and not because she’s female who just got horny and decided to ignore the long term consequences.
The male soldier should be doing a punishment detail for a long time, and neither would ever get to guard the gate or anything slightly important. Either he is a poor soldier (unable to defend himself from attack and from being seduced while on duty), or he is vulnerable to the weakest of outside magic.
No matter how it is broken down, under the best circumstances, both of these characters can hope for is getting blacklisted as soldiers and tossed out of the palace and respectable nearby services. Worst case: death for dereliction of duties, drinking/drugging on duty and placing the lives of their charges at risk. If they aren’t, then any soldier can just rape and murder at will and then claim “magic made them do it”.

Damn, this guy just doesn’t learn. He’s lucky she didn’t beat him up again.

I thought she was going to, when the watch commander left them at the gates… Looks like she settled for scaring the daylights out of him.

He’s healing up well 😀

Ah the return of Patience and Nameless. Perhaps we should call him Clueless. ^_~

Maybe he’s just trying to make amends…

trebthegamer
that fairy left things pretty broken

The real horror here is that she didn’t even attack them directly. This is all just fallout from what she was doing.

Woo hoo, their back and they have names(sorta ish lol)!!!

I hope he does get a chance to work things over with her.

Yeah, he might learn, but he’ll have to look for someone else.

I just think this is so unfair. If she just looked at this objectively she’d realize he didn’t do anything she didn’t want him to.
She should be looking for who cast the spell.
Jakob
Except it is fair, because she doesn’t like him and she didn’t want him to do anything to her.Especially since he was acting like a pig.
He took advantage of her, she has every right to be angry at him. She didn’t give consent.

IIRC, she was under a spell, and did give consent.
He’s supposed to know ?

To his credit, it seems he is sorry.
