  1. Now the Wizard has some explaining to do to his son and the princess probably won’t be happy with Albert letting the Wizard grope her body.

I wonder if they will tell the Duke about the curse and how he’ll react.

  2. “Sure go ahead not like their mine”

  3. “Sure, it’s not like they’re mine.”
    “Father?!”

    Ah, the drama. 😀

  4. HAHA BUSTED!

  5. how is that his father if the wizard is not a duke? if the wizard IS a duke, why is he not doing duke stuff in his own duchy? is aidan a fake duke? did he personally kill the old duke? ( thats probably the safest way to go ) either way, i hope its good, cuz i like the duke aidan character. email me with the answer if you have to jaycee!n 😀

  6. I HATE when that happens…

  7. I’m betting Aiden earned the title separate from his birth.
That or his mom was a duchess.
If the princess likes the duke this is bad for her. If she doesn’t she might be off the hook.

    1. A patent of nobility was often a reward for success on the field of battle. In fact, the term “duke” comes from a Latin word meaning “to lead” or “leader,” specifically in warfare.

Or maybe dad put a spell on everyone to think Aidan is a duke.

Or maybe “Duke” is his first name, like Duke Snider or Duke Ellington, and he’s not nobility at all. Although that would rather diminish his chances of claiming the hand of a princess.

A title is _not_ inherited from one’s mother in most systems of peerage. In England, there are a few peeresses in their own right, but not many. Hereditary titles are no longer created there (Parliament took that power from the monarch); the annual “honors list” includes new peers, to be sure, but they hold the title for life only and cannot pass it on. Further, new life peers are generally created as barons, not of any higher rank (from baron up, it’s viscount, earl, marquess, and duke). BTW, there are two types of duke; those of the blood royal (addressed as “your highness”) and the rest (addressed as “your grace”). Those below that rank are addressed as “your lordship,” or “my lord.”

It is said that Queen Elizabeth offered Sir Winston Churchill a life dukedom, but he declined the honor, as he would no longer be allowed to enter the House of Commons, where he had spent so many years. His widow accepted such an honor, though.

We don’t know much about Aidan’s relationship with his father, so it’s not clear how this is going to evolve. But dad is a wizard, and I’d put some money on him vs. brute strength. Aidan’s obviously no longer a teenager, and might not be quite so hormonal as to refuse to listen to what’s going on.

BTW, we haven’t seen princess-as-Albert since Albert-as-princess tried the “GROW!” spell, although it seems that nothing happened, since the conversation between Aidan and princess-as-Albert isn’t particularly out of the ordinary. I have a feeling that princess-as-Albert won’t keep his/her mouth shut when he/she sees what is going on, and is likely to find the wizard’s chamber suddenly cold and drafty again, there being worse things that wearing fustian.

  8. Anyone noticed that he address the princess as Albert?

  9. @lunchbox I thought the same thing at first, which confused me. He is replying to Albert who is behind him. You’ll notice the chat bubble on the left, in the last frame, is Albert ( in body ) talking to Aidan.

  10. if I had a dime for how many times I’ve walked in on a naive friend of mine falling for something like this…… is have…. alot of cash

  11. Wizard: umm… this is EXACTLY What it looks like!

  12. He needs to join in. 🙂

  13. Er…I…Um…was just checking for signs of tumors? Got to make sure your bride-to-be is healthy and everything….

  14. He totally needs to join in on the action.
