As I understand it, she wont be effected by Thanes curse of lust and such when she gets to him. Though the hermit lied, and it will just get stored in the amulet, and who knows when, but then she will be hit by it, but it be double effect.

It can be diverted and stored (in an amulet).
It can be amplified.
Therefore, it could be reduced or even negated.
I don’t know, perhaps humans will be able to develop technology to affect magic, leading to a human/faerie clash, perhaps an outright war… Could be interesting.
Personally, I like it when the author sets hard rules for magic and adheres to them throughout the story, even if the readers are not explicitly told what the laws and limitations are. Keeps the author honest and prevents them from getting lazy.
My only hope is that he never ends up in any Lovecraft type realms. Nyarlathotep getting ‘sexier’ is going to cost us all our sanity points. On the other hand it could explain the anime series ‘Haiyore! Nyaruko-san’.
