#0316: Cuz N Effect

  1. I get the feeling that Crystal is worse than what Heather used to be. Since Albert decided to alert Heather about Crystal’s arrival.

    1. Yup, seems that way to me

      1. The Faeries are gonna have a field day with her then. 🙂

        1. What makes you say that? 🙂

    2. Oh, I think “cousin Crystal” will come around (& around & around…) in her point of view…Quite soon.

  2. The wizard and thane should meet up if you get the drift.

    1. Imagine how much more powerful a Thaneified Sorceress would be…

  3. Will our mystery guest enter and sign in please!

  4. Poor crystal, she in for some sexy fun times…. I can’t wait.

  5. The more pompous, the more likely a fairy will get involved 😛

  6. I think Thane and Crystal should meat up. >:D

    1. Meat up. Nice. 🙂

  7. Frell me! Heather’s back must hurt!

–Unless the faeries also gave her really strong spinae erector muscles along with that mammary augmentation….

    1. Her back is just fine, no magic enhancement necessary. Big breasts do not cause back pain.

      1. I kind of feel like that article (not you) is addressing/presenting a strawman argument. It talks UPPER back pain, whereas most of the chesty girls I know complain about LOWER back pain. (Can’t recall any ever complaining of upper back pain.

        1. I haven’t seen any research that supports either claim (upper or lower back pains). A breast weighs on 1lb on average, so 2lbs for an average set of breasts. Double that for large breasts and you have 4 lbs, 5 lbs if you want to be REALLY generous. If the argument for upper back goes out (which might have been be conceivable since heavy breasts _might_ strain the shoulders), that means the lower back pain is merely the result of the upper body being heavier by a few pounds, wherever they come from (heavy clothes, backpack, big breasts, urn on the head, etc.).

I’d love to see solid, peer-reviewed research that confirms the causal link between heavy breasts and back pain (any back pain, upper or lower). For the time being, without good evidence, I would hesitate to make a claim that it’s true. Too many factors might come into play (bad posture, personal bias, etc.).

        2. Chelsea Charms do not have a bad back, and her boobs are ENORMOUS !

        3. Right! And I haven’t met a girl with big boobs who exercices just a *little* and has correct posture that has chronic back issues. A lot of women have terrible shoulder posture and hardly do any exercise for fear or “bulking up” and looking hulkish (a silly notion, but a prevalent one nonetheless).

But I could be wrong, I just haven’t found research that clarifies this. At any rate, before I start blaming bad backs on a few pounds of boob flesh, I’m going to look at other lifestyle issues that might cause the problem.

        4. Larger boobed ladies also tend to have the frame to support them.

Skinny frames like Heather’s with massive boobs don’t tend to happen that often. Not without surgical or magical help anyway.

        5. Yeah, it’s a matter of getting some decent exercise daily, having a good posture, and the body frame to support them.

Heather’s current boobs looks too big for her frame by default in my opinion so she could get back problems if she doesn’t get any exercise at all or has a bad posture (slouches when standing for example). Even if she did all those things, the boobs are only temporary so she’d probably wouldn’t get any back problems unless they took a long time to return to normal. The only fairy curse that has lasted for years is Thane’s so far to my knowledge.

        6. I wear a 40J and I have to concur that poor posture is what causes the back pain and a good supportive bra or corset can help with that. When you don’t have that support, it’s all too easy to slouch.

        7. my partner was 6′ 4″ , 220 lbs an had 44dd, also a Marine. sooo she worked out ( ran 3 miles a week , 80 sit ups , 20 pull ups , and krav maga training ) 34 waist..
built like Baby, but a bigger waist

        8. Sounds like you were a lucky man!

        9. Is it wrong that I want to give Rob a congrats and punch him in the face for having what sounds like such a hottie for a partner? lol

        10. Meh, I have the first-hand stories from women who have had breast augmentation surgery reversed that a larger breast did indeed cause them more back pain, and that was their reason for the reversal.

        11. MidnightDStroyer

Yeah, let’s face it…Heather’s boobs stick out nearly as far as Albert’s arms can even REACH. In panel 2, it’s THAT obvious.

      2. Because we all know that an unsigned, unattributed blurb on the internet that uses phrases like “tight to stand with healthful position” can be nothing short of gospel 🙂

What about this WebMD article then?
“Extremely large breasts have been linked to a number of physical complaints including back aches”
        http://www.webmd.com/beauty/breast-reduction/is-breast-reduction-right-for-you

Or this one from Northwestern Uni?
“In some cases, it’s possible that a woman’s breasts are a primary cause for her back pain. This happens most frequently when a relatively small person has disproportionately large breasts.”
        http://www.womenshealth.northwestern.edu/blog/do-bigger-breasts-cause-more-back-pain

Things are not as clear cut as they appear. A significant research effort is needed and I am willing to devote my time to it. For science, of course!

        1. “…have been linked…” Causal link or just correlative?

“In some cases, it’s possible…” Naturally, anything’s possible when you get to extremes. I haven’t seen evidence that DD-sized breasts cause back pains, not as a general rule. Bad posture is a far more likely culprit.

I’m interested in the results of any peer-reviewed research on the matter–I like science that way. Forward me your results. 🙂

          –Jaycee
          “I’m doing it.”

        2. Jaycee, just look at that picture of Heather, will you? We are not talking DD-sized breasts here, it’s closer to the far end of the alphabet if you ask me.

I will definitely update you on the research but there is one snag: women so generously endowed are not very common, and usually either have implants or experience significant sag, both of which conditions can skew the results due to differing torque.

In order to make sure that the experiments correctly model the hypothesis, magic would have to be used.

Tell you what, you send Minx or Attitude my was to facilitate the research and I will put your name as the co-author. Deal?

        3. I’m betting good money that a little creative would help overcome many of these research challenges. Back pains are much more likely to be caused by the weight and distance from the chest than the shape or the breasts. Nothing a little bit of latex and weight can’t simulate.

And if I were able to even get Minx or Attitude to help you, I think it’s THEIR names you should put on the research, not mine. Not sure they’d give you a choice anyway. 🙂

          –Jaycee
          “I’m doing it.”

        4. The shape of the breasts does dictate the distance from the chest. Heather’s jut straight out, and I doubt that her puny bra has anything to do with it.

Regarding my offer, I am trying to convince *you* to help, so it stands to reason that I should offer you an incentive (academic recognition and fame). As for the fairies, I assume that they would probably want different compensation, but I cannot say for certain. The last time I spoke with Attitude was way back, when she was posting entries and comments in your blog.

Besides, the smart thing to do when dealing with fairies is to have a go-between.

  8. Is it just me, or was her breasts made to look like a frowny face in panel one deliberate?

    1. Not deliberate. But funny.

      1. I got a chuckle out of Albert shaking Heather so hard he set the “girls” to dancing. 🙂 Better be careful, Al, somebody’s gonna get a black eye!

        1. We do this for the chuckles. Glad you enjoyed. 🙂

  9. Cinderella? 😉

    1. Oh no, not even close. 🙂

      1. But she looks similar 🙂

        1. Coincidence. 🙂

  10. Ooh, new plaything for the faeries?

    1. Stay tuned and find out. I think this character is going to bring a fresh twist to the comic…

      “I’m doing it.”

      1. Well, colour me curious! 🙂

        1. MidnightDStroyer

At least Crystal’s dress is already white…Maybe the stains won’t show up in an obvious way.

  11. Oh – I like this. This has some real potential!

  12. I like the titles three-way pun

    1. I like the title too. No particular reason, just ‘Cuz…

  13. Soo I am assuming Herman would wanna meet this Crystal 😛

  14. Cousin Crystal. Last name Method. Crystal Meth is her nickname.

  15. You named her Crystal, instead of Silver – there’s goes the jokes about being tarnished.

    1. No, but there still jokes about being ‘cracked’ 😛
