This isn’t where I normally do these reviews, but as I’m collating all the stuff for those who purchased the Archivist perk in the IndieGoGo campaign, I ran across this piece of art I commissioned over FOUR YEARS AGO.
I was always a HUGE fan of Gunnm and read the manga when it came out decades ago. I went to see the movie with some fairly high expectations and, at the same time, I was ready to be heavily disappointed. It turns out I love this movie as much as I loved Wonder Woman (a LOT!). I think they did a phenomenal job showing their love for the source material (always a critical point for me when they’re doing an adaptation of existing books/comics) and showed Alita to be a fierce warrior as much as a caring person. In some ways, I think I love the movie even more than I loved the manga—and that’s saying something. I’ve already seen the movie twice in theaters and encourage you all to do the same.

Hi JC!
Thanks for your glorious comic! Bloomin Faeries is the only other webcomic on all the internet that stands with Oglaf for the sheer brilliance of its writing.(well maybe empowered too) You are a master at adult sex comedy. I hope you get a change to write more works in the future!
